China YouTV Corp. (OTCBB: CYTV), a publicly traded company recently entered into the growing video sharing web site business in China announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent with HuaJu Network, a Chinese Internet Video Sharing Company, to form a Joint Venture in China.

Mr. Gao, the President of China YouTV said, “Through this Joint Venture, we hope the new project could generate more returns to all the shareholders, and also, the new joint venture company could become the Chinese YouTube in China’s video sharing industry.”

YouTube (www.YouTube.com) is the leader in online video, and the premier destination to watch and share original videos worldwide through a Web experience. In November 2006, within a year of its launch, YouTube was purchased by Google Inc. for $1.76 billion.

Well folks, I just got back from Atlantic City the other night.  I have to say this was by far my best casino vacation trip thus far.  My cousin and I left on Thursday afternoon and arrived in AC around 7pm.  That night we went to Taj Mahal, same casino we went to last time.  I started off the night going $350 in the hole playing craps.  Definitely not off to the best of starts.  At that point I called it quits for the evening.  I needed some time to rethink my betting strategies.

So, the next day we went back to Taj Mahal.  I hit up the craps tables and really focused on using some of the techniques found on some of the DVD training products found on http://www.craps-dice-control.com.  Believe it or not, it worked out in my favor.  It’s not just a game of luck - there’s definitely some skill involved in getting the edge on the house.  I literally played from 11am to 7:15pm with a five minute pee break.  LOL.  Anywho, to make a long story short - I raked in $1,500 and got all of my meals, including my cousin’s, comp’d.  If I could have changed anything about the trip, it would have been the weather and that damn long drive.  Definitely going to fly and stay at the Taj Mahal next time I go.

Yahoo! Inc. announced a new contest entitled “The Intern” in conjunction with the 6th season premiere of “The Apprentice” on Sunday, January 7th. “The Intern” contest is a free weekly game that will allow fans to show off their “Apprentice” knowledge by predicting what will happen next on the show. “The Intern” winner will be awarded the opportunity to shadow the winner of “The Apprentice” for two weeks at the Trump Organization.Yahoo!’s “Apprentice” site is the premiere destination for fans, and serves as a prime example of how Yahoo! creates essential experiences for users with partner content, original content and user-generated content. The site offers one place to find out everything there is to know about the show, including exclusive weekly “webisodes” of unaired footage as well as information on the contestants, juicy gossip, cool photos, and videos.

For those of you that don’t know, today is my birthday.  I just turned 26 years old.  One of the gifts I received was a DVD called The Secret.  It was a pretty interesting video to watch.  It claims that the secret to life is the Law of Attraction.  Basically, whatever the feelings you have - you will attract and manifest things of that nature.  Example: if you are happy and have a positive outlook on life then you will attract positive things in to your life.

Being my birthday, I started thinking about my past and everything that has led me to where I am now and how some of the excerpts from this DVD have applied.  Surprisingly enough, things that I have applied myself to full-heartedly, I have in fact accomplished.  This is not to say that you just need to “think” good and good will come.  It doesn’t work like that.  It’s not only a way of thinking, but also a way of doing.  You really need to apply such ethics to your everyday life.

I’ve found myself, as of recent, immersing myself with thoughts of stress, not being exactly happy about where I am in my life and goals I wished to have achieved by this age, etc.  I can’t say it will be an easy process to full adopt this new way of thinking and feeling, but I think it’s definitely worth the effort of trying.  The idea is to be happier (mind, body and spirit) and the universe around you will do the rest.

Wengo a subsidiary of 9 Telecom, France’s second largest telecom, has a well designed chat widget for bloggers. It’s called Wengo Visio and is like MeeboMe but with video chat. Visio runs in Flash through a bit of embedded JavaScript and CSS, with SIP as the communications protocol. Check here for some bloggers that have it implemented.

When you have your widget installed, you can make yourself available to chat by logging in through an admin menu. While online, readers can solicit you for chatting by typing a little message in text box that shows up on the owners side. The owner can then initiate the chat if they choose. Chatting is currently one-to-one via mic and optional web cam, which makes it less overwhelming than the flood of texting that can happen with MeeboMe. Although, the group video chat of PalTalk and ability for readers to listen in could make for an ad hoc “Gillmor Gang” style meeting of the minds right on your blog.

But Wengo Visio isn’t intended to be a standalone program, rather it is an effort to expose Wengo’s other products, Wengo Talents community and Wego Phone to a wider audience. Wengo Phone is their own chat client that lets you text chat, call other VOIM users, call landlines, call cell phones, set up audio conferences, and make video calls. It also runs on Win, Mac, and Linux, with Google Talk, Yahoo, ICQ, and GAIM compatability. Similar to Skype-out, they only charge for calls to landlines and cell phones, but have a free trial with € 0.50 of credits until January 4th. So far, over 72 million minutes have been shared over Wengo.

Stepping back a step further, both Wengo Visio and Wengo Phone are part of their long term plan of building a pay-per-call expert network, Wengo, where people can sell their time on the phone via PayPal or credit card. This may sound a lot like Ether, sans the 1-800 number, and it is very similar. Wengo, however, has opted to build their offering around their own Wengo community site, where users have categorized themselves, received ratings, and posted profiles. Ether has opted for a different strategy by relying on users to promote services on their own.

Skype also released Skype 3.0 today, with several new social elements that enable things like virtual game playing and music recommendation through Last.fm.The new features in Skype 3.0 for Windows are called Extras and Public Chats. Extras enables game playing and music recommendation through Last.fm. There will also be something called “mood messages,” which will allow users to “explain how they are feeling and what they are doing with their friends and families, no matter where they happen to be,” according to Skype’s release.

Public Chats are essentially chat rooms, which are nothing new but Skype has not had them before. They have had group chatting capabilities but not theme-based chat rooms.

“Skype is about freeing communication on a global scale. Since the beginning we have enabled free conversations between friends and family – people that know each other,” said Stefan Oberg, GM of Telecoms & Desktop for Skype, in the release. “With Skype 3.0 and features like Public Chats, we are making it easier for people to make new friends and meet others that share a common interest from a global community of more than 136 million Skype users.”

The founders of new online gaming company Red 5 Studios are celebrating an $18.5 million round of financing today from Benchmark Capital and Sierra Ventures. Bill Gurley from Benchmark Capital is joining the board. The company previously raised working capital from WEBZEN pursuant to a game development deal earlier this year.

Red 5 Studios was founded by some of the key people behind Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, which claims over 6.5 million users. CEO Mark Kern told me that they broke away from Blizzard because they had a difference in opinion over the appropriate strategy for the next generation on online games, and that he’s aiming for Red 5 Studios to be “the Pixar of onling gaming” by creating games that are distributed and promoted by others. Look for their first titles to be launched in a year or so, initially through WEBZEN.

A friend of mine told me about this site, www.stockmarketblog.com.  I really likes the publisher’s overall objective of blogging about his daily stock investing habits and his goal of turning $20,000 into $1,000,000.  Going through some of his archived postings, I see he is currently up.  I find that his approach is not really all that aggressive.  He buys a stock and waits for it to go up 15-20 cents and then sells.  This isn’t his approach on every stock; however, I have seen a consistency.  Anyways, he’s up and his method apparently seems to be working for him; however, a little slower than I’d like to see.  I, myself, am quite the beginner at stock trading.  I started investing heavily in Movie Gallery (MOVI) months back while the stock was gaining ground only to see it slip out from under my fingers from the reportings of a poor quarter.  However, the stock is back on the rise.  Let’s hope I can recoup what I’ve put into it.  And maybe, just maybe I’ll come out on top with some profit.

Anyways, I plan on keeping my eye on Stock Market Blog to see if I can repeat a steady consistency of stock market earnings like I have seen exhibited on that blog.

There has been some mention on the internet about how AGLOCO’s upcoming Viewbar is spyware. AGLOCO’s chief internet privacy officer recently discussed at length about these comments, a couple of which we want to reiterate here:

1) You have to actively install the Viewbar; 2) You have to turn it on in order for it to track your surfing habits and earn your hours; 3) You can easily turn it off and uninstall it at will; and, 4) your info is backed up by perhaps the best Privacy Policy out on the net, which gives you explicit information about what happens with your data and how you can delete it from our system if you desire.

There are a lot of questions about when the Viewbar will be released. The Viewbar is currently in closed beta testing to make absolutely sure that it is fully functioning before its release to all Members. However, it will be released to people in the order they have signed up, so the earlier your referrals sign up the earlier you will start earning when the Viewbar is released. So best to have your friends sign up early
